Mom strangles schizophrenic son with skipping rope

A mother who strangled her mentally unstable son with a skipping rope as he lay sleeping because she couldn't cope with his violent behavior has been arrested, police said.

When questioned over her motives for the killing, Tanaka reportedly told police her son had acted violently at home.

"His violence within the home was terrible, and I killed him because I couldn't stand it any longer,"
