Let me show you a signboard which gives a caution to self-centered people. "Jikochu" is a contracted form of "Jiko chushin shugi", which means egocentricity.

Once upon a time, the Japanese were said to be humble and reserved people. It is a pity that lots of Japanese have lost their morals in these days.
