A 43-year-old woman has died from apparent economy class syndrome at a hospital in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture, bringing the number of earthquake-related deaths to 36, it was learned Friday.

Sachiyo Mezaki of Ojiya in the prefecture reportedly had spent four nights following the Oct. 23 earthquakes in a car parked in a parking lot near her house. She collapsed after getting out of the car at about 6 p.m. Wednesday. Economy class syndrome refers to blood clots brought on by remaining in a constricted position for long periods of time, such as on a long air voyage.

muerte por inactividad...

es chistoso como la historia empieza relacionandola con el terremoto, que es lo que se da como razón de que la mujer se quedo 4 dias en el coche.
