TSU — A 6-month-old baby girl died Tuesday after being left in a minivehicle for about 12 hours while her parents played pachinko, in Inabe, Mie Prefecture, police said Wednesday.

The parents told investigators that they started playing pachinko at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, leaving their daughter in the car in the parking lot. The parents told the police they returned about 10 times to the car to check on the baby, but did not feed her as she seemed to be asleep, but at around 9:30 p.m. they realized something was wrong.
